First impression: you are simply traveling alone to China, where you have no friends or acquaintances. But I joined this system quite quickly. And for about two years I worked with the youth team. Already two years before the Olympics I was added to the main team, I was an assistant to the senior coach. The contract was for four years, that is, for the Olympic cycle. Almost all coaches terminated their contracts with China after the Olympics. I received an offer from the Russian national team.

I want to live here [в России], I want my family and children to live in Russia. If there is an opportunity to work abroad, I would take it. And he would use this experience for his own purposes, to coach the Russian national team,” Smyshlyaev said in the film of the series “Faces of the Country” on .
