A soldier died after a long illness Russian team in biathlon Evgeny Permyakov, according to the website of the Russian Biathlon Union.
Permyakov died at the age of 53, in 2020 he was diagnosed with cancer.
– On July 15, around 10:00 p.m., our friend and colleague, the soldier of the Russian national team, Evgeny Permyakov, died. He was only 53 years old. The Russian Biathlon Union and the entire biathlon family express their deepest condolences to Evgeny’s family and friends.
Since 2009, the specialist has worked with the Russian national team, led the service team at the IBU Cup, European Championships and youth competitions. Permyakov designed the structures on which Russian biathletes ran the races at the Beijing Olympics.
