Triple Olympic biathlon champion Anastasia Kuzmina included in the Slovak national team to participate in the World Championships in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic, according to the website of the national biathlon federation.
The Slovak team will also be represented by Maria Remenova, Zuzana Remenova and Yulia Machinyakova.
In January, Kuzmina took part in the European Championships in Brezno-Osrbli. The 39-year-old took 59th place in the sprint and 39th in the pursuit.
Kuzmina retired in 2019; she is the older sister of world champion Anton Shipulin in the Russian national team. In October last year, it became known about the biathlete’s desire to resume her career.
The World Championships in Nove Mesto will take place from February 7 to 18.
