Executive Director of the Russian Biathlon Union (RUB) Alexander Pak told that he does not know the reasons why Belarusian biathletes will not participate in the mass start of the Spartakiad of the Strongest, since the decision is made by the Ministry of Sports.
In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Sports, published on the official website of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU), 10 Belarusian biathletes (5 men and 5 women) will perform at the Spartakiad, athletes are represented in all disciplines , with the exception of general start races, scheduled for February 17 and 18.
— I am aware that such a situation exists, but I do not know the reasons why Belarusian biathletes will not participate in the mass start. The organizer of the competition is the Ministry of Sports, we rely on their rules and respect them,” Pak told .
The biathlon competitions within the framework of the Spartakiad will take place from February 10 to 18 in Zlatoust.
