The Belarusian biathlon team will not participate in the mass start of the Spartakiad of the Strongest in Zlatoust, according to the order of the Ministry of Sports published on the official website of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU).
The Spartakiad biathlon tournament will be held from February 10 to 18. In January, the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation introduced an addition to the regulations on the organization of the Spartakiad of the Strongest, Belarusian athletes will be able to participate in the competitions. Their results will be taken into account in the unofficial protocol without summarizing the general ranking of the teams based on the results of the Spartakiad competitions.
According to the document from the Ministry of Sports, 10 Belarusian biathletes (5 men and 5 women) will participate in the Spartakiad; athletes will be represented in all disciplines, with the exception of general start races, scheduled for February 17 and 18.
