The Council of the International Skating Union (ISU) at its meeting on February 7 did not consider the issue of admitting Russian athletes, said Nikolai Gulyaev, president of the Russian Skating Union ( SKR).
Russian figure skaters, speed skaters and short track speed skaters have been suspended from participating in competitions under the auspices of the ISU due to the situation in Ukraine.
— The ISU Council did not discuss the issue of admission of Russian athletes at the meeting on February 7, there was only a general agenda. I really hope that ISU will revisit our issue after the season and maybe do something about it, although we are prepared for any developments in events. We have organized, are organizing and will continue to organize competitions at the highest level, our athletes will always be ready to do battle with their leaders,” reports the correspondent.
