The director of the opening ceremony of the Winter Spartakiad of the Strongest, Diana Malysheva, told that the artists who performed on Friday at the Traktor arena had only a day and a half to joint rehearsals.
The opening ceremony of the Spartakiad took place on Friday February 9.
— Is this one of the most important events in Chelyabinsk in recent times?
— For Chelyabinsk, this is in principle one of the most important events, because there have never been about 2,000 artists. We have never had so much light, sound and special effects. Folk and state dance ensembles took part in it, and the Ural Choir came to see us. A group from St. Petersburg also came to us and took part in the “Dancing” show. Such a palette ranges from folk dances to ultra-modern dances. This was the greatest difficulty: bringing together artists from different cities across the country in the same evening.
— So you did the evening program?
— We rehearsed for a day and a half (laughs).
– Seriously?
– Yes. The fact is that each team rehearsed their numbers separately in their hall for a month, but we all got together only recently. I note that all the artists treated the rehearsals with trepidation and eagerness, because they really wanted to make the opening ceremony very colorful and memorable, ”Malysheva told .
The Spartakiad began on February 8 and will end on the 18th. Competitions in 16 sports (biathlon, bobsleigh, skeleton, alpine skiing, curling, speed skating, short track, cross-country skiing, Nordic combined, ski jumping, luge, ski mountaineering, snowboarding, figure skating, freestyle, hockey) will be organized. through the Krasnodar and Krasnoyarsk Territories, Tyumen, Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions. Russian and Belarusian athletes take part in the Spartakiad.
