Simon won gold in the sprint at the 2024 Biathlon World Championships, Dmitrenko took 12th place

The French women took the first four places in the race

French biathlete Julia Simon won gold in the sprint World Championship 2024 in the Czech Nove Mesto.

Simon did not make a single mistake on the shooting range, and in the end was a little less than five seconds ahead of her compatriot Justine Brezat-Boucher. France dominated the race – third and fourth places went to Lou Jeanmoneau and Sophie Chauveau.

The best among Ukrainians was Kristina Dmitrenkowhich took 12th place. Irina Petrenko became 19th, Julia Jima – 21st. Anastasia Merkushina took 29th place.

On Saturday, February 10, the men’s sprint will take place. Ukraine will be represented in it by Dmitry Pidruchny, Artem Prima, Taras Lesyuk and Anton Dudchenko.
