Batmanova covered the distance without any errors at the shooting range in 22 minutes 56.1 seconds. The silver medal was won by Victoria Slivko (+3.5 seconds; 1 miss), the bronze medal was won by Anastasia Goreeva (+5.1 seconds; 1 miss).
— I haven’t yet achieved this victory (laughs). I was getting ready for work today, the conditions are very difficult. As usual, we train in positive weather, go to Sochi and admire the weather. And then you go to the races, and some kind of apocalypse begins, an unreal wind, icicles almost fall on you. I am very happy to have done the work. The girls made a mistake, that’s why I’m taller today.
I had good luck with the range at the shooting range. Lying down, I can work into the wind, but getting up again is difficult and unpredictable. Today, luck was on my side.
