“The stadium in Zlatoust is no worse than the complex in Tyumen or Khanty-Mansiysk” – biathlete Bazhin

Russian national team biathlete Kirill Bajine told that the conditions at the Svetlana Ishmuratova Stadium in Zlatoust are excellent and therefore can be compared with the complexes in Tyumen and Khanty-Mansiysk.

On Saturday, sprint races took place in Zlatoust as part of the Spartakiad of the Strongest. These competitions were the first organized in the stadium, under construction since 2008.

— I really liked the way they made this complex. Yes, it may be a long drive, as we live outside of Zlatoust, but in Europe it has always been like this – we also drove 30 minutes to the stadium. In Russia, we are just used to the fact that we leave the hotel and are already on the highway. But the organizers are of course great. I think the stadium in Zlatoust is no worse than in Tyumen or Khanty-Mansiysk.

— It’s probably unusual to see such a fresh and new stadium after some complexes in other regions?

– Yes, for example, Uvat (laughs). Seriously, everything here is beautiful. The crowd was just great, because today the weather was freezing. Spectators were still allowed into the track – it was a great atmosphere,” Bazhin told .

The Spartakiad biathlon tournament takes place from February 10 to 18.

On Sunday, the biathletes will start the pursuit races. Watch the live broadcast of the men’s pursuit from 9:05 Moscow time, the women’s – from 11:35 on TV channels “”, “Match! Arena” and “Match! Planet”, as well as on the sites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
