Norwegian biathlete Johannes Boé won the 12.5 km pursuit race at the World Championships in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic.
Boe came second in the distance, made three errors at the shooting ranges and finished in first place with a time of 32 minutes 36.9 seconds. Next on the podium were the representatives of Norway Sturla Lægreid (2 misses; +28.7 seconds) and Vetle-Sjastad Christiansen (3 misses; +38.5 seconds), who respectively took first and third place in the sprint .
Two other Norwegians entered the top 6: Johannes Dahle-Sevdahl finished fourth, Tarjei Boe fifth.
Johannes Boe became 18 times world champion.
The Biathlon World Championships will end on February 18. Russian athletes are not allowed to compete under the auspices of the International Biathlon Union (IBU).
