The Spartakiad relay race took place on Tuesday in Tyumen. Stepanova competed for the Arkhangelsk region team and ran the fourth stage. The team was in fifth place before the Stepanova stage, 52 seconds behind the leader. The Olympic champion finished first, 20 seconds ahead of Elizaveta Pantrina of the Tyumen region team, who came second.
