On Friday, 19-year-old Konovalov, as part of the Sverdlovsk region team, won the mixed relay at the Spartakiad of the Strongest. On his first shooting range, the biathlete went to the penalty loop, and on the second, he shot without a miss. Earlier in Zlatoust, the biathlete took seventh place in the sprint and ninth in the pursuit.
— I was worried before the first shot, not after. Then somehow it let me go, despite the penalty loop. Somehow it got easier. I had planned to close one stand out of five, but in the end it worked.

– I do not even know. Somehow everything happens by itself (laughs). At first I didn’t believe it, but I’m already starting to believe it.
