President of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) Viktor Maygurov stated that unscheduled doping controls continue to be carried out for all athletes who are in the ADAMS system (an online data collection and storage program).
The start leg of the Summer Biathlon Commonwealth Cup will be held August 23-29. Biathletes from the national teams of Russia and Belarus will take part in the competition.
– Do you have proxies from RUSADA concerning anti-doping control during Russian competitions? What about unscheduled doping controls?
– Unscheduled doping control is carried out for all athletes who are in the ADAMS system. Unfortunately, our athletes periodically receive “flags” for incorrect information. I won’t hide it. Of course, there will be control of RUSADA in the championship and the Russian Cup,” Maygurov told reporters.
