Victory in Canmore brought success to the Italian
Italian biathlete Lisa Vittozzi won Small crystal globe in the season’s pursuit standings 2023/24.
Victory in today’s start at the final stage of the 2023/24 Biathlon World Cup in Canmore, Canada, brought Vittozzi to first place in the pursuit standings. Lisa was 14 points ahead of Julie Simon and 20 points ahead of Lou Jeanmonnot.
The best among the Ukrainians was Yulia Dzhima – 20th place in the Pursuit standings. Next are Anastasia Merkushina (40th position), Irina Petrenko (42nd) and Kristina Dmitrenko (52nd).
There is one more race planned in Canmore – a mass start, which will take place on March 17. Vitozzi’s advantage over Ingrid-Landmark Tandrevold in the overall World Cup standings is 61 points.
The men’s pursuit race will also take place today in Canmore. Starts at 23:10 Kyiv time. The men’s mass start is scheduled for Sunday, March 17.
Happy Lisa with her Pursuit Globe, adding on into her (yet) growing collection. 🤩
