Norwegian biathlete Johannes Boé became the overall winner of the World Cup in the 2023/24 season.
On Saturday, the 30-year-old Norwegian won the pursuit race at the final World Cup stage in Canmore, Canada. Bo made three errors on the shooting range and posted a result of 34 minutes 38 seconds. Swede Sebastian Samuelsson finished second (+11.2 seconds; 1 penalty) and Frenchman Eric Perrault (+11.6 seconds; 1 penalty) finished third.
In 20 races, Boe scored 1,172 points. In second place in the “total” is his brother Tarjei Boe. The leading trio is completed by another Norwegian representative, Johannes Dahle-Sevdahl.
Johannes Boe also won globes in the pursuit and sprint races. The biathlete now has five large crystal globes and 11 small ones.
Johannes Boe is a five-time Olympic champion and 20-time world champion.
