The Norwegian wins the overall World Cup for the fifth time in his career
Norwegian biathlete Johannes Be won early Large crystal globe Biathlon World Cup 2023/24.
According to the results of the pursuit race at the stage in Canmore, Canada, Be scored 1172 points in the overall standings. Johannes leads his brother, Tarja Boe, by 137 points heading into the last race of the season.
The 30-year-old Norwegian won his fifth career Grand Crystal Globe and defended last year’s title. Also, based on the results of the pursuit race, Be came into second place in history in the number of personal victories at the World Cup stages (84), beating Martin Fourcade. Only another Norwegian is ahead, Ole Einar Bjoerndalen (95 victories).
The 2023/24 Biathlon World Cup will end on Sunday with a mass start. The men’s race will start at 23:20 Kyiv time.
