Italian biathlete Lisa Vittozzi won the overall World Cup ranking in the 2023/24 season.
On Sunday, the 29-year-old took 21st place in the mass start at the final World Cup stage in Canmore, Canada.
At the end of the 21 races of the season, Vittozzi scored 1091 points and won the great Crystal Globe for the first time. In second place in the general ranking is the Frenchwoman Lou Jeanmonneau (1068), followed by the Norwegian Ingrid Tandrevold (1044).
Vittozzi also won small globes in the individual and pursuit races in the 2023/24 season.
Vittozzi is a two-time world champion (relay and individual) and winner of the 2018 Olympic bronze medal in the mixed relay.
