Athletistic/Skating. Russian speed skater Maxim Kornienko, 20, has been disqualified for five years for violating anti-doping rules. Metabolites of drostanolone, nandrolone and anastrozole were found during the doping control of the young athlete.

The decision to disqualify Kornienko for five years was made by the Commission for the Preliminary Examination of Cases of Anti-Doping Rule Violations. Disqualification will begin on March 7, 2024.

It should be noted that Kornienko took part in the 2024 Spartakiad in Chelyabinsk, where he took 31st place at a distance of 500 meters and 30th place at a distance of 1000 meters.
