“If I had kept my concentration at the end of the prologue, I wouldn’t have had to handle it so hard” – Latypov

Triple Olympic medalist Edward Latypov who won the 100-meter prologue of the Alfa-Bank Russian Biathlon Cup in Tyumen, told that he made a mistake in the decisive race, because of which he had to take risks.

– Of course, I knew it would be very difficult with Vitka. The other day we were speeding up a bit. I understood it would be difficult, today it was also difficult and we were literally inches apart.

— What grade would you give yourself for the final? Yuri Kaminsky gave it a rating of three pluses or four minuses.

“I tripped, so in the end I had to take a risk and take a step.” If I had maintained my concentration until the end, I would not have had to expose myself so harshly.

— Is it very difficult to get started in such a mess?

“Yes, based on intuition (laughs),” Latypov told .
