Parents Evgenia Garanicheva rewarded the biathlete and Victoria Slivko after winning the mixed doubles singles at the Alfa-Bank Russian Championship in Tyumen.
Athletes from the Tyumen region covered the distance in 42 minutes 0.5 seconds. Ivan Kolotov and Anastasia Zyryanova came second (Perm region; +13.9), Evgeniy Emerkhonov and Lyubov Kalinina (Republic of Tatarstan; +40.0) completed the top three.
Earlier in March it became known that the current season was the last in the career of the 36-year-old biathlete. Marina and Alexander Garanichev were the guests of honor at the competition and after the race they presented gold medals to the winners.
