Olympic champion Sorina: “I rate my uphill result as a C”

Olympic cross-country ski champion Tatiana Sorina said that she evaluates her result in the uphill race of the Russian Cup final in Kirovsk at three points out of five.

Alina Pekletsova, 18, won the 10 km freestyle race, she achieved a result of 32 minutes 33.8 seconds. Sorina took seventh place, 1 minute 53 seconds behind the winner.

— The climb was very difficult for me, the track was really difficult. The Kirovsk route differs from Alpe Cermis in Italy in that the finish here is uphill. It was very difficult for me. I wanted to play in better conditions than now. Next year I will also participate in the uphill race here. I hope it becomes traditional. I really want to come back to this mountain in good condition. I missed a lot this season, it was intermittent, that’s why it’s the result today. “I give it a C,” reports the correspondent, according to Sorina’s words.

The final of the “PhosAgro” Cup of Russia in the Murmansk region ended on Sunday. Live broadcast of the races was carried out by the channel, as well as the sites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
