Biathlon world champion Ekaterina Yurlova-Perkht announced that she was retiring from her professional career.
From April 12 to 14, Murmansk will host the Alfa-Bank Commonwealth Biathlon Cup. For the 39-year-old athlete, these will be the last starts of his career.
— The Alfa-Bank Commonwealth Biathlon Cup starts tomorrow! And for me, these will be the last beginnings of my professional sports career,” the biathlete wrote on the social network.
Yurlova-Perkht is the individual running world champion (2015), the 2019 World Cup silver medalist in the mass start, and the European pursuit champion (2019). She also won the Biathlon World Cup three times during her career.
