— The last time you went to Murmansk was in 2006, wasn’t it?

— Yes, he returned to Murmansk after 18 years. I came to skiing and biathlon quite late and arrived at the ski competitions in Murmansk only eight months after I started practicing this sport. Next to me, Maxim Tsvetkov also competed here; we ran two races here together: speed skating and a classic 10 kilometer mass start. Arriving here now, I remembered those circles. I was nostalgic because it was my first trip and that’s where it all started.

— What was Alexander Loginov like then?

— Young, without equipment (laughs), ambitious.

— Did he believe he could become a professional athlete?

“I honestly admit that at that moment I didn’t think about it,” Loginov told .
