The executive committee of the Coaching Council of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) has determined the list of candidates for the men’s national team for the 2024/25 season, according to the official website of the RBU.
In total, 24 biathletes were included in the list: Anton Babikov , Kirill Bajine , Nikita Blinov , Alexey Vagin , Oleg Domitchek , Evgeny Emerkhonov , Romain Eremin , Denis Irodov , Rustam Kayumov , Ivan Kolotov , Saveli Konovalov , Alexander Kornev , Edward Latypov , Alexander Loginov Roman Morenkov, Ilnaz Mukhamedzyanov, Pierre Pachchenko , Viktor Plitsev , Alexander Povarnitsyn , Daniel Serokhvostov , Yevgeny Sidorov , Vasily Tomshin Dmitry Usov and Karim Khalili .
At the end of March, a meeting of the coaching council of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBR) was held in Tyumen, where it was decided to introduce the format of the main and reserve teams starting from the 2024/25 season .
The main team, coached by Yuri Kaminsky, includes Latypov, Bazhin, Serohvostov, Mukhamedzyanov, Tomshin, Kornev, Sidorov and Kolotov. Khalili is recommended for independent training.
The final lists of candidates and lists of athletes for centralized training will be considered by the RBU Executive Committee after passing a medical examination. After that, they will be submitted for approval to the Russian Sports Ministry.
