Wolfgang Pichler started working with the Bulgarian national team, reports the press service of the Bulgarian Biathlon Federation.
As reported, the team began training in Ruhpolding (Germany) under the leadership of Pichler and Robert Kabukov. The pre-season preparation program includes training camps in Germany, Austria and Sweden. The team is expected to compete in the Summer Biathlon World Championships in Estonia.
Pichler led the Swedish national team from 1995 to 2011, worked with the Russian national team from 2011 to 2014, after which he returned to the Swedish team. Winners and medalists of the Olympic Games and World Championships Magdalena Forsberg, Anna-Karin Zidek (Olofsson), Helena Ekholm, Bjorn Ferry, Hannah Oeberg, Sebastian Samuelsson trained under his guidance.
