The Khamovnichesky District Court of Moscow returned the complaint filed against the President of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBR) to the applicant. Viktor Maygurov arises from the record of legal cases.
The St. Petersburg Biathlon Sports Federation filed a lawsuit against Maigurov, the claim was accepted on July 11, 2024. However, on July 18, the complaint was returned to the plaintiff because “the application (complaint or representation) was not signed or was filed by a person who does not have the authority to sign it or file a claim.”
Metaratings.ru previously reported that the President of the St. Petersburg Biathlon Federation Dmitry Vasiliev filed a complaint against the RBU with regional federations. The claim concerns a loss of profits amounting to a certain amount of money. Vasiliev claims that Maigurov’s predecessors (who worked part-time at the SBR) did not receive a salary, but Maigurov receives 350,000 rubles a month, and he also receives rent for an apartment in Moscow and a minibus, which is used in the interests of the entire federation office.
Maigurov has been president of the Russian Biathlon Union since July 2020.
