Head of the Biathlon Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Nugmanov told about a conversation with representatives of the regional presidential office for combating corruption in connection with the situation with the construction of a ski stadium -biathlon in the village of Mirny.

“Yesterday, for a conversation, I was summoned to the anti-corruption office of the President of Tatarstan, and I answered questions. I have no complaints. They determine who is responsible for the situation – designers, builders or someone else, – Nugmanov told .
According to the description on the website of the Ski Racing and Biathlon Federation of Tatarstan, the construction of a sports complex for training and competitions in cross-country skiing and biathlon in the village of Mirny has been underway since 2019. The facility was expected to be completed in January 2022 and will be used as part of the 2023 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Kazan.
