Dudchenko finished in 13th position
Ukrainian biathletes Dmitry Pidruchny And Artem Tishchenko became the winners of the men’s race in super sprint on the second day 2024 Summer Biathlon World Championshipstaking place in Otepää, Estonia.
At the start of the race, Latvian Andrejs Rastorgujevs was in the lead, but after unsuccessful shooting at the second shooting position, he was overtaken first by one and then by the second Ukrainian. Pidruchnyi shot three shooting positions in a row without errors and eventually came to the finish line first. Tishchenko came in second with a slight gap. Restorgujevs ultimately did not even make it to the medals, losing the battle for bronze to Czech Tomas Mikyska.
Another Ukrainian, Anton Dudchenkowith three misses, finished in 13th position.
Let us recall that the 2024 Summer World Championships started yesterday with two junior sprints, and in both, the Ukrainian representatives were left without medals. In the men’s event, the best was Vitaliy Mandzyn (6th place), in the women’s event – Viktoria Khvostenko (5th).
Today, the women’s super sprint final will also take place in Otepää. Ukraine will be represented by Anna Krivonos, Kristina Dmitrenko and Anastasia Merkushina.
