Aeroflot’s press service commented on about the incident with the damaged equipment of biathletes Russian team .
On Tuesday, the Russian biathlete Anastasia Shevchenko said the airline Aeroflot left five national team athletes without equipment at once. The photo posted after the baggage receipt showed broken poles.
– Based on the information received, the airline verifies the movement of the tube with the sports equipment of passengers at all stages of check-in and baggage handling, using, among other things, data from objective control tools . At the moment, based on the materials already studied from CCTV cameras, no blows or other damage to the tube with sports equipment has been found. Nevertheless, we continue to study the material and are in contact with a representative of the biathlon team to clarify detailed information on the flight of the athletes. After completing the analysis of all the facts, together with the biathlon team, we will be able to provide additional information, – told the Aeroflot press service.
