Coaches of the Russian team Yuri Kaminsky and Sergei Bashkirov told that the biathletes in their groups will perform in force at the Commonwealth Cup stop in Sochi.
The Commonwealth Cup stop in Sochi will take place from August 25-28. The Bashkirov group includes Alexander Loginov, Maxim Tsvetkov, Anton Babikov, Alexander Povarnitsyn, Vasily Tomshin, Kirill Bazhin, Mikhail Burundukov, Vyacheslav Maleev, Ivan Kolotov and Alexey Vagin. The Kaminsky group includes Eduard Latypov, Evgeny Yemerkhonov, Roman Eremin, Alexander Kornev, Ilnaz Mukhamedzyanov and Mikhail Pervushin.
“We’re all in training camp in Sochi now, so we’re all planning to play here,” Bashkirov said.
“All living will participate,” Kaminsky said.
Bashkirov also spoke about the progress of repair work at the Sochi stadium.
— The track is ready: the organizers are finishing the last works concerning the track and the stadium. They do everything necessary to ensure that the competition takes place at the highest level,” he said.
The Commonwealth Cup is a separate tournament apart from the Russian Cup, in which biathletes from Russia and Belarus will participate. It is planned to organize five stages – two in summer and three in winter.
