Russian biathlete Daniel Serokhvostov spoke about the peculiarities of working with the new shooting coach Igor Okhotnikov.
— I worked with Igor Yuryevich at youth level. So this is not new to me. Yes, we were working in the summer when I changed guns. He worked with anyone who needed help. This year I probably didn’t need as much help, just in preparation, in order to properly saw something on the rifle. So I didn’t work with him much, but I saw how other athletes approached him.
Last season I probably worked more on my shooting quality, and this season on my shooting rate. Igor Yuryevich told us that we needed to shoot faster and so we worked on that all summer. That is, the preparation itself has changed,” Serokhvostov told Soviet Sport.
At the sprint stage of the Alfa-Bank Commonwealth Cup in Krasnoyarsk, Serohvostov achieved the 18th result. Daniil missed the chase.
