According to , the ski federations could merge into one, as the aquatic federations and gymnastics federations previously planned. It is planned that the Russian Ski Racing Federation, the Russian Alpine Ski Federation, the Russian Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined Federation, the Russian Freestyle Federation and the Russian Snowboard Federation will be under the wing of a single organization.
