Medalist at the World Speed Skating Championships Daria Kachanova believes that in general, the results shown in the women’s 500m at the Kremlin Cup in Kolomna turned out to be quite good for the first start of the season.
Kachanova showed a result of 38.09 seconds in these competitions.
— I will not say that it was planned to run exactly like this, but we can observe a very high level of results which motivated us to run well. Generally speaking, everyone’s results are very good for the start of the season this year.
— How did you spend your summer?
— Thank God, without incidents or force majeure, the training process went well, I train in Evgeniy Lalenkov’s group, we were not preparing for this departure, the main goal is the Russian Championship, I think there will be faster results there.
—Are you going to drive the truck this season?
– Yes, I already ran away today. But after 500m there was little time to rest, so it didn’t go as well as we would have liked.
— Did the first ice cream take place in Belarus?
— Yes, we trained in Minsk, and there was also a special training in Raubichi – roller skates before the first training camp on ice. And last month we were in Krylatskoye. We don’t have many ice rinks, Kolomna, Moscow, the rest are a bit far away, so I’m very happy that Krylatskoye has returned. The ice there is not bad, it’s just cold,” Kachanova told .
