Russian biathlete Anastasia Khalili who previously competed under the name Goreeva, said on that she rates her mass start performance in the International Club Biathlon League (MLCB) YANGPUR Cup at three plus plus.
Khalili (4 penalties) took third place in the mass start, 21.6 seconds behind the winner Victoria Slivko (1 miss). The second was Anastasia Shevchenko (1 miss, +1.4 seconds). The competitions take place in Khanty-Mansiysk.
— I rate my performance at three plus. Terrible shot. They showed me how I shoot while lying down – that’s how I usually shoot standing up. There’s a lot of dispersion there. I tried to catch up with the leaders. There is a very fast penalty loop here – 100 meters. I realized that today I was feeling pretty good, catching up with the girls and working. Even going for the last lap, I didn’t give up [бороться]tried to catch up with them, but realized there wasn’t enough distance.
— Did your husband Karim embarrass you in any way with his victory in the men’s mass race?
– No, but standing at the last line, I thought: are we really going to repeat the result today? But she made a mistake.
—What stopped you on the firing lines today? Wind, poor preparation, problem with the cartridges?
– This is probably my usual shoot. One or two penalties per line, four out of four lines. In principle, this is the norm for me. I’m trying to improve my stats, but so far it’s not going well,” Khalili said.
On Sunday, November 17, a mixed relay will take place as part of the MLKB Cup.
Live broadcast of the mixed relay can be watched from 11:30 (Moscow time) on the channel, as well as on the websites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
