The “opening of the season” in Hydra turned out to be successful for Vitaly
Ukrainian Vitaly Mandzyn triumphed on short individual race within Swedish Open Championship.
The so-called “Opening of the Season” took place in Hydra. Mandzyn entered the race wearing number 70 and managed to hold the lead after the second shooting range.
Swedes Jesper Nelin and Victor Brandt finished behind Vitaly. Anton Dudchenko also entered the top 10. Of the Ukrainians, only Dmitry Pidruchny, who trains with Juraj Sanitra, missed the reporting race.
Let us remind you that Mandzyn performed successfully in Estonia in the summer. In Otepää, Vitaly won gold in the pursuit and sprint among juniors at the 2024 Biathlon World Championships.
The 2024/25 Biathlon World Cup starts on November 30, 2024 in the Finnish city of Kontiolahti and ends on March 23, 2025 in Holmenkollen, Norway. The Biathlon World Championships will be held in Lenzerheide, Switzerland from February 12 to 23, 2025.
The 2026 Winter Olympics will take place in February of the same year in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy. Licenses for these Olympic Games will be awarded from the beginning of the 2024/25 season.
