Russian biathlete Victoria Slivko said on that she will spend the prize money for winning the YANGPUR mass start of the International Club Biathlon League (MLCB) Cup to pay off her debts.
On Saturday, at a competition in Khanty-Mansiysk, Slivko finished first in the women’s mass start and received a check for one million rubles for her victory.
— What are you going to spend the prize money on?
— Yesterday, I promised Alexander Loginov that I would invest in him. This is a long-term investment. Of course, this is all just a joke. I have debts that need to be repaid, so…
— Is a million enough?
– No, that’s not enough. We still have to win a few more tournaments like this.
—MLKB’s feelings?
— When I was preparing for the race, it was exciting, because it’s the first start, we don’t yet know what to do, what to do. When the guys arrived, my enthusiasm died down. In addition, my team – Karim and Danya – had a great race, the scenario was a success. They wished us the same thing with Nastya (Khalili), but I think they won’t be too offended, we still made them happy. Our team has four medals, that is enough for us,” said Slivko.
On Sunday, November 17, a mixed relay will take place as part of the MLKB Cup.
Live broadcast of the mixed relay can be watched from 11:30 (Moscow time) on the channel, as well as on the websites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
