Daniel Serokhvostov And Karim Khalili said on that a hypothetical disqualification for the situation that developed during the mass start of the YANGPUR Cup of the International Club Biathlon League (MLCB) would not reflect the true balance of power in the race.
Earlier, at the MLKB stage in Khanty-Mansiysk, Khalili won the men’s mass start, Serohvostov took second place. At the finish line, Karim and Daniil took their team flag and, as they walked, determined who would win first place using a game of rock-paper-scissors.
—If we were disqualified, so what? Did we do it? We did it. They would take our medals. And what? – said Serokhvostov on the air of the program “Everyone for the match” on the channel.
“We came to enjoy the race and do our job.” We did it the way we wanted. The result was obvious to us that day. If we were disqualified, we would still know where we stood that day,” Khalili in turn noted.
From November 22 to 24, Khanty-Mansiysk will host the second stage of the Alfa-Bank Commonwealth Cup. Friday’s competition will feature women’s and men’s sprints.
