The Norwegian has set the final goal of his career
Five-time Olympic champion Norwegian biathlete Johannes Be said that will retire in 2026 after performing at the Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy.
“I will not continue performing after 2026. Whether I have five, six or seven World Cup globes or 85, 90 or 100 wins will not matter then. The date has been set. So I have to achieve everything I can until then,” said the Norwegian.
Johannes won five titles at the Beijing and Pyeongchang Olympics. He has 38 world championship medals, including 20 gold. The Norwegian won the Big Crystal Globe of the Biathlon World Cup five times.
The 2024/25 Biathlon World Cup starts on November 30, 2024 in the Finnish city of Kontiolahti and ends on March 23, 2025 in Holmenkollen, Norway.
