“The IBU takes one of the most radical positions vis-à-vis Russian athletes” – Vice President of the RBU

Vice-President of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) Alexei Nuzhdov agreed with commentator and host Dmitry Guberniev that the International Biathlon Union (IBU) will be the last federation to allow Russian athletes to compete under its auspices.

On Tuesday, the IBU executive committee decided to extend the suspension of the membership of the RBU and the Belarusian Biathlon Federation (BFB) until certain conditions are met. The Board is also seeking confirmation from the IBU Congress of its earlier decision that athletes from these countries continue to be barred from tournaments until further notice.

– I can agree or disagree, he’s a connoisseur, I say without irony. Guberniev’s position is close to me, I really don’t know how it is in other federations, but the fact that the IBU takes one of the most radical positions in relation to Russian athletes is a fact. They are also unlikely to change these approaches in their current composition. Therefore, most likely, everything will be as Dmitry says, – Nuzhdov said on the air of the program “There is a theme!” on the channel.
