Biathlete Alexei Zubarev won the 100 meter race without a rifle on the eve of the first stage of the Alfa-Bank Russian Cup in Khanty-Mansiysk.
In the final, Zubarev was 0.10 seconds ahead of Nikita Blinov, both representing the “Grounding” team. Andrey Vyukhin (“Victory”) became third in the prologue.
In the women’s prologue, the best was the representative of the team “Smile and Bazhin” Natalia Shevchenko who beat Tamara Derbusheva (“People IK”) in the final. In the small final, the captain of the “People IR” team, Irina Kazakevich, won third place.
The prologue is a pre-start competition organized by the SBR before the main competition program of the Alfa-Bank Commonwealth Cup, Championship and Cup of Russia. The biathletes compete in four teams. At each individual stage, competition winners receive cash prizes and points for ranking.
