Senior women’s coach Ukrainian biathlon team Nikolay Zots said that biathlete Kristina Dmitrenko will receive an additional burden of responsibility for results in the new season.

Six athletes made up the entry for the women’s team (including Anna Krivonos and the Merkushina sisters). Dmitrenko was the first to guarantee herself a place in the main team for the World Cup.

The starting stage of the 2024/25 KM biathlon will be held in Kontiolahti from November 30 to December 8. On the first day of the competition there will be mixed and single mixed relays. Also at the first stage there will be a classic relay race, a short individual race, a sprint and a mass start.

Until the end of 2024, three stages of the World Cup will take place – in addition to Kontiolahti, competitions will be held in Hochfilzen (December 9-15) and Annecy (December 16-22).
