Slovenian specialist Uros Velepec will be the assistant coach of the German team.
Head coach Urosh Velepets has left the national biathlon team of Ukraine. The Slovenian specialist secured a position on the coaching staff of the German men’s team. This was reported by the press service of the Ski Federation of this country.
The 54-year-old specialist’s contract will start working from May 1 this year and is designed for the Olympic cycle until 2026. At Bundestim, Velepec will help head coach of the German men’s national team Mark Kirchner.

Recall that Velepets worked in Ukraine for four seasons in total and led the women’s biathlon team to two Olympics – in 2018 in Pyeongchang and in 2022 in Beijing.
