The Norwegian biathlon team won the mixed relay at the World Cup in Finland

The Norwegian team won first place in the 4×6 km mixed relay at the first stage of the Biathlon World Cup, which takes place in Kontiolahti, Finland.

Norwegian biathletes Caroline Knotten , Ingrid Tandrevold , Johannes Dahle-Sevdahl And Vebjörn Soerum covered the distance in 1 hour 9 minutes 59.6 seconds. The athletes used 10 additional rounds.

Second place was taken by the French team (Lou Jeanmonnot, Justine Brezaz-Boucher, Eric Perrault, Emilien Jacquelin, 4 additional laps) losing 0.8 seconds to the winners. The third place was taken by representatives of Sweden – Anna Magnusson, Elvira Oeberg, Jesper Nelin, Martin Ponsiluoma (+21.5; 0 penalty loops and 7 additional laps).

On Sunday, men’s and women’s relay races will take place in Kontiolahti.

Russian athletes have been suspended from participating in competitions under the auspices of the IBU due to the situation in Ukraine.
