Ukraine took seventh place in the first men’s relay of the 2024/25 Biathlon World Cup season in Kontiolahti

In the men’s relay, Ukraine was represented by Bogdan Tsymbal, Dmitry Pidruchny, Anton Dudchenko and Vitaly Mandzyn

The men’s relay race has ended in the first stage Biathlon World Cup 2024/25 V KontiolahtiUkraine as part of Bogdana Tsymbala, Dmitry Pidruchny, Anton Dudchenko And Vitaly Mandzyna took seventh place.

The winners were the French team, using only two additional cartridges. Team Norway finished second, Sweden – third.

For Tsymbal and Pidruchny this was the first race of the season, while Dudchenko and Mandzyn had previously taken the start line in the mixed relay.

Bogdan Tsymbal used three additional rounds at his stage, passing the baton to Dmitry Pidruchny in 10th place. The captain of the Ukrainian national team lifted the team to 8th place, using only one additional round on two firing lines.

Anton Dudchenko was in sixth place when he handed over the relay to Vitaly Mandzyn, who at a certain moment was 5th, but in the standing position he did not take advantage of the penalty circle from the German representative Philipp Horn, showing a final seventh result at the finish.

The 2024/25 World Cup in Kontiolahti will continue today with the classic women’s relay.
