Three-time Olympic champion Anfisa Reztsova responded to the proposal of the Executive Committee of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) to extend the suspension of the membership of the Russian Biathlon Union and the Belarusian Biathlon Federation (BFB) in the organization.
On Tuesday, the IBU’s executive committee recommended to the organization’s Congress to extend the suspension of IBU and ESB membership until certain conditions are met. The Executive Committee also seeks confirmation of its earlier decision that athletes from these countries continue to be excluded from participating in tournaments until further notice.
– What do I think? Nothing so far, to be honest. I don’t know… This is all crazy to me,” Reztsova told .
The IBU has suspended Russians and Belarusians from participating in competitions under its auspices due to the situation in Ukraine.
