And now the question of the head coach of the women’s team remains open. The place remained vacant after Slovenian specialist Urosh Velepets, who worked in Ukraine last season, decided to move to Germany.
According to biathlon.com.ua, no solution has been found so far. It is expected that the name of the new instructor will be announced next week and it is likely that it will be a specialist in Ukraine.
But the names of the athletes, the main team are known. Due to the war and funding cuts, the list is limited to six male and female names. The girls will go to the first training camp: Yulia Dzhima, Elena Bilosyuk, Daria Blashko, Irina Petrenko, Anastasia Merkushina and Yulia Zhuravok.
For men, the names of five biathletes are known: Dmitry Pidruchny, Anton Dudchenko, Bogdan Tsymbal, Artem Prima, Taras Lesyuk. Denis Nasyko and Artem Tishchenko claimed sixth place.
The coaching staff of the men’s team remains unchanged: Juraj Sanitra will continue to coach the national team, and Alexey Kravchenko and Roman Prima will join his staff, just like last season.
