Pidruchny and Dudchenko reached the finals of the men’s super sprint, Blashko and three other Ukrainians reached the women’s at the 2022 Summer World Championships

On the Summer World Cup 2022 biathlon qualifying races took place in super sprint.

Two Ukrainians managed to qualify for the main race of the men’s competition. Dmitry Pidruchny finished 6th in qualifying Anton Dudchenko — 19th. Bogdan Tsimbal, after successful prone shooting, made three misses in the standing position, and eventually lost 7 seconds to the finalists zone. Artem Prima placed behind Bogdan in the final protocol. Taras Lesyuk finished 55th with six penalties.

In the women’s qualification, four Ukrainians managed to get through to the final. Daria Blashko with one miss became the 6th, Yulia Jima (also missing once) – 14th. Anastasia Merkushina ranked 26th, Valentina Semerenko closed the list of finalists. Anna Krivonos lost seven seconds of passing position, Elena Bilosyuk became 59th.

The final competition in the super sprint will also take place today, August 26. The start of the men’s race is at 16:10 Kyiv time. Women will start at 17:25 Kyiv time.

The Summer World Championships in Ruhpolding will be held from 25 to 28 August.
