“It was hard and exciting.” Sleptsova spoke about her first Match TV commentary experience

Olympic champion Svetlana Sleptsova admitted that commentating on biathlon was exciting and difficult.

How do you like the commentary experience?

“Of course it was exciting for me, because it was the first time for me,” Sleptsova admitted to . “I hope I have done my job. But in general, I just liked to return to my homeland – biathlon. Commenting turned out to be a lot harder than it looks from the outside. When you’re sitting in front of the TV and thinking, “Come on, what’s there to comment on?” But it’s always difficult.

– Did you appreciate the professionalism of the same Dmitry Guberniev with renewed vigor?

– I have always been very fond of Dmitry Guberniev. He’s a real professional and I’ve always told him that.

Belarusian biathlete Dinara Alimbekova won the pursuit race in the first leg of the PARI Summer Biathlon Commonwealth Cup, covering the distance in 29 minutes 51.5 seconds. The second was the Russian Anastasia Shevchenko (+25.5 seconds), bronze was won by her compatriot Tamara Derbusheva (+35.6).

The men’s pursuit race was won by Russian Alexei Vagin. The athlete covered the distance in 33 minutes 32.1 seconds. Second place was taken by Petr Pashchenko (+9.1 seconds), third was Eduard Latypov (+13.1).
