Coach of the Russian men’s team Yuri Kaminsky told that it would only be possible to assess the appointment of American Max Cobb as Secretary General of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) after his decisions in a new post.
U.S. Biathlon Association President Cobb was named to the IBU on Tuesday. The specialist will take up his new duties in October.

Niklas Karlsson, who previously served as the organization’s general secretary, stepped down on June 21.
Previously, the IBU Executive Committee decided to extend the suspension of the membership of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) and the Belarusian Biathlon Federation (BFB) until certain conditions are met.
